At identical footfall, women's facilities clear far slower than men's, because a cubicle is the only thing on offer. Stadiums, festivals, transport hubs and high streets all inherit the same imbalance, and it lands on the same people every time.

Hygiene fails exactly when it matters
Shared seats, wet floors, door handles and a flush that has to be touched. The busier a site gets, the worse the surface somebody has to put their hands on, and the further behind the cleaning rota falls.

Every flush spends drinking water
A conventional public toilet uses potable water to move waste, then needs supply, drainage and a wastewater connection before it can exist at all. Under drought restriction that becomes a hard ceiling on how much provision you are allowed to build.

Demand moves by the hour, by the season and by the event. Fixed pipework cannot move with it, so provision sits unused at one end of a site while people queue at the other on the same afternoon.

Each unit adds a self-contained position that turns over in well under a minute. Capacity goes where the queue actually forms, rather than waiting on a cubicle door to open.

MadamePee is a single moulded standing position. Everything it needs to work is inside the shell, which is why it can go where a plumbed facility never could.
- Materials
- The shell is moulded in one piece from UV-stabilised recycled HDPE, thick enough to take a festival weekend and a city winter without fading or flexing. Every wet surface inside is antimicrobial powder-coated stainless, and a sealed one-way membrane keeps odour in the cartridge where it belongs.
- Contactless use
- Approach, use, leave. An infrared field handles the entire interaction, so there is no seat to sit on, no handle to pull and no button to press. The privacy wing screens the position properly without turning it back into a cubicle somebody has to queue for.
- Install and relocate
- Four anchor points, or a ballast tray if you would rather not touch the ground at all. Two people, about a quarter of an hour, no water connection and no drainage run. Lift channels are moulded into the base so the same two people can move it again next week.
- Cost and impact
- Without supply, drainage or a wastewater connection, most of the cost of a public toilet disappears before anything is built. What remains is the unit, a cartridge swap on a schedule you set, and a dry wipe-down that takes about three minutes.

About 25 minutes per unit with two people, and no trade on site. Units either fix to four anchor points or stand free on a ballast tray, so there is no supply to connect, no drainage to run and no wastewater consent to wait on. A bank of four is usually in service within a couple of hours of the lorry arriving.
All of it. A MadamePee position uses zero litres per use, because nothing is diluted and nothing is flushed. Measured against conventional provision, the saving is the entire flush volume of every single use, plus whatever a supply and drainage run would have leaked or spent moving it.

A 55 litre sealed cartridge takes roughly 400 uses before it is swapped, and a swap runs to about four minutes for one person. Turnover per position is well under a minute, so on a busy site the practical limit is how many positions you specify rather than how often the cartridge changes.
Yes, and they are designed for it. Lift channels are moulded into the base for a forklift or pallet truck, and two-person handles are moulded into the sides for shorter moves. Free-standing units go in minutes; anchored units need four bolts out first. Nothing has to be drained or disconnected, because nothing was connected.
It varies by authority, and it is nearly always simpler than a plumbed facility. With no supply, no discharge and no drainage connection, the water and wastewater consents that hold up a conventional installation do not apply. What usually remains is a temporary structures or highways licence for the placement itself. We assemble the technical pack your authority asks for as part of the quote.
